Crystal Wave Empty Crystal Wave

Post by twowheeltony Sun 24 Jun 2012, 11:56 pm

Today was my first time on the Crystal Wave and I admit it was quite entertaining to just try and figure out what the hell the river was doing (beginner!). Is there a better time to avoid the rif-raf? Also, I would like to apologize to the young couple for getting in the way!

Avoiding rif-raf in Ogden? Good luck. Warm weekend days in any urban area are going to be rough. If it is ever bad, don't hesitate to call the cops. Probably the best bet is to go with a good group of people- Crystal draws a good SUP crowd.

No need to apologize- you were not in the way at all! We are all here to enjoy and share the river!

Read up on peel outs. It will help a lot with what you were working on today.

Crystal wave has really turned around in the last 6 months or so... most of the 'rif-raf' has moved on down the river toward the confluence. Tonight there were a few watchers, but really no hoodlems like we get at OPP.

Glad you got out there Tony, and good chatting with you on the phone earlier.
