Joe's Valley Saturday
Is anyone still planning on hitting Joe's on Saturday? I can't get away for the full weekend to go to Wyoming, but would still like to paddle. I would like to get 1-2 laps in as long as there is some flow.

I will try to be there by about 11am. I will be bringing some bouldering stuff as well for after the run. Looking forward to hitting this run again. Last time I was here, there were a couple of people camping at the takeout which looks like a pretty good spot.

Yeti, camp in the San Rafael Swell, that is the best place near Joes for desert camping, lots of petroglyphs, ruins and slot hikes. There's camping on the reservoir too I think but the desert is really nice in the San Rafael Swell. Plus its BLM so there are'nt all the rules.

CB- we thought about that but the swell is still a bit of a drive from the creek. and the places we like to camp in the swell are all on the south side of 70. apart from the san raf gorges the northern part of the swell is well, rather boring, to be honest. but we're resourceful, we'll find something. there is a significant array of options around...
timmay- 11 sounds good, my dad wont be boating so he MAAAAY be willing to run our shuttle. cant say for sure, but i will ask. we will be in a blue gmc that may or may not have a camper on it. what are the proper access point for this run, and which one should we meet at? thanks and hopefully see you tomorrow!

Hey campers! Don't shit next to the boulders and bury those shit tickets deep! Pretty soon that place will be flooded with international folks! Climbing is a huge revenue for that county and dont want that place looking gross.

Red Beard, you don't bury shit tickets, you burn them. Please bury the poo, burn the tickets and fill it all in.

fer shizzle!
i am also VERY interested in the two stems of Huntington Creek for next year. The Left Fork looks like a lot of fun, a weekend with LF + Main Stem would be a whole lot of fun.
Im going to post a full write up in my blog soon, so I will forward that along when its done

LF Huntington
All things considered, LF Huntington at higher flows is one of, if not the highest quality run in the state. Wilderness style run, high desert scenery, fun drops/slides, wood, riverside trail. Always beer at the takeout. Always beer at the put in too for that matter.
