Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Annual Whitewater
Film Festival Benefit for the Snake River Fund.
The date is April 5th at the Tower Theater. Tickets are available now: Advance ticket $8.00 currently available at
Wasatch Touring and Sid Sports or you can purchase tickets for $10.00 at the
door. Watch for posters in public places
and on line at utahwhitewaterclub.org and for additional persons in the
club distributing tickets.

About the Snake River
Fund:

In 1998, the Forest Service, in response to increasing user
pressure and decreasing funds, proposed to implement a mandatory fee program on
the Snake River.

In an effort to keep the Snake ‘fee free’, a group of
citizens and business in the Snake River area proposed a voluntary,
donation-based, grass-roots organization to supply funding to support
facilities, river personnel, volunteers, education, and law enforcement along
the Snake River. The continuing
partnership between the Forest Service and the Fund remains unique in this
country and serves as model to other river systems struggling with management
challenges.

It is the Fund’s vision that the Snake River Watershed
remains a vibrant and diverse ecosystem for many generations to come to enjoy
in a responsible manner

I love this festival. In addition to this festival, it would be great to see a festival started for the river that most Utah boaters use....the Weber...

I would be glad to help out with any efforts to start a campaign to bring money into the Weber River system.

Good IDEA! I'd rather put money into the rivers we use everyday apposed to ones that we visit a few times a year, if even that....

That being said, ill still support the snake. Count me in.
