There is a 20' wide section of metal across the river just below the dam (which looks runnable from above) unless you like swimming under it. Its a 'bridge' across the river for the trucks that happens to be 1" below the surface of the water.......... Death...

What are they doing at the take out? Are they finally making that a park?

No, they removed the old dam just below the take out and put in another. Doesn't look quite as retentive but still looks bad. The channel that they created (and a very fun ride!) around the construction was filled in today.

The dam I am talking about in the first post is the power plant dam before the take out. They have a section of the dam removed and water is free flowing through that section. Looks runnable from above, but its super dangerous.... unless you like underwater caving while pinned in a boat.
