You may start to like it more than kayaking like me. Then you've got another expensive hobby. I've been into it for 8 years now and I can honestly say it is more addicting than boating. I would recommend Kite Utah for lessons-ask for Billy. Also go to this site http://www.utahwindriders.com/ for local info. PM me if you want more info. Good luck- you absolutely need a lesson or someone who is very experienced to give you a start. The hazards are not as apparent as kayaking and you WILL get beat down a few times while learning. Nothing like getting powerdrilled head first into the snow. These kites are VERY POWERFUL. They can pick you off the ground easily.

When I was in Baghdad I was going to order up a complete kitsurfing kit and be the first to kitsurf the river in the middle of the city... until I watched a few of these vids and realized I would most likely die from lack on instruction NOT bullet holes...
