I heard that he standup-packraft-handpaddled it!! And that's not easy.

People give me crap for hand paddling, but I don't think that me hand paddling black canyon is bigger than that guy. I would never run that in an open boat, much less kayak it at 70. So mad props to that guy. There was a ten year old kid that a buddy of mine took down the green recently. He did not triple crown, but I believe that is bigger than anyone triple crowning with or without a shafted paddle. On another note my love for hand paddling stands, and whether you use mine or not I suggest that everyone tries it, and hand paddle when you can. It is truly a pure form of boating.
